the rear lift hatch on my truck...I opened it and noticed moisture around one of the lower corners of the access plates on the inside. I pulled one of the plastic plugs (upper drivers side) and closed the door enough for the water to drain out...I would say a cup of water came out...I did not see any drain holes in the bottom of the hatch...

Is this common and where do I need to look for the water ingress...?

Thanks

Your rear washer may be the culprit if you have a leak in the delivery line. Put some blue water/windex type of cleaner in the bag. Then run the rear washer, and then pull the drain I bet you will have blue water.

x2

x2 on that...

Also check out the grommet thingie on the top of the rear hatch. it's what the washer hose snakes through (PS).

That is probably a bullseye now that I think of it, duh...

I just filled it Saturday and ran it...Sounded like everything was pumping, but no spray on the rear glass...Was in a hurry so I just bagged it and was going to check it later. I will remove the access plates and make sure the line/hose is connected/not leaking at the sprayer nozzle this afternoon...

Thanks and will let you know...

I use airline tubing for fish tanks to replace the broken washer line, it is cheap an a good fix to the problem. Just a hint: connect the new lie to the old line then pull it out through the top of the lift gate otherwise it is a BITCH to thread through there.
