How do you guys drive at night without nightview?

Does it make it look like you are in a monster truck video game rollin on 42s? How many points for a smart car?

I honestly didn't even know this was a real thing, I was thinking the original post was done on april 1st or something.

I have a FLIR I got from a previous job and have been thinking about making a poor man's nightview using a monitor or something. The FLIR needs to be mounted outside the vehicle as the windshield glass is opaque to thermal. That's why the LX that have nightview need a $5000 windshield. Yikes!

I only drive at night while wearing ANVIS-10s. Highlights are for losers.

Just made an appointment with the dealer to have this option installed. $7,200 seemed very reasonable. Plus I will be able to add it to my list of mods in my mud signature.

I would contact @cruiserdan for a discount. He isn't slanging regular parts any more but kept a surplus of nightview parts for the mud community

Auto detection of deer and pedestrians would be nice.

I was never impressed by it frankly. The only value I see in it would be when driving into a campground at night when you would want to turn your lights off to avoid disturbing other campers but still be able to "see" obstacles or hazards. Other than that, seems a gimmick.

And for that limited need, you could really just hold up your phone camera with the night mode turned on.

I've been saving up for limited edition badging, but this might be an even better use of my budget.
