how do I level my saggin 60??

Ok..can't get a lift for a while now so what is the best way to pick up my 60's sagging rear end and make it level..easily and cheaply if possible

Garsticker, I just installed a set of Monroe "Max Air" air shocks on my '74 fj-40, I had put 2" longer shakles on it a few years ago, and recently added a 13 gal. gas tank in the rear, plus a homemade jerry can rack for 10 gal. of water. The air shocks work great, put it back to level, and much more stable on turns. Earl

The ol'tub is in great shape..the only rust in at the rear fender wells and tailgate..it is sagging approximatly 1.5 inches maybe less..the front springs still have arch to them but the rears are almost but not quite flat..would a add a leaf and shackles be best or just one or the other..which is the best brand of both?

Easy and cheap? Home made shackles...

3/8"x2" wide flat bar stock, and 4-9/16" diameter bolts..
Drill 4 holes in the 3/8" steel, three or four inches over the stock distance in the original shackle...

Every two inches of shackle is approx 1" of lift...
You will have enough fun trying to get the old shackles out of the bushings, that you will not want anything to do with removing the ubolts, breaking down the leaf springs and adding a leaf to something that you are probably going to want to install a lift kit into in the near future, judging by your initial post..
