I was cutting tree branches today and using my 80 to help drop limbs. I was standing on the Gamiviti roof rack and dropping tree limbs. Kind of dumb but it was also kind of fun. I had a rope around one big limb and my wife was pulling on it as cut it free. It fell landing on the ground but then kicked back hitting the truck right below the sliding rear window. I am glad it didnt take out the window or dent the window track area. However it did put a nice dent in the truck right below the sliding rear window. A dent with a vertical running crease about 6" long. I pulled back the interior panel and i have perfect access to it. I hit it with the palm of my hand an popped out 80% of it. Now i just have a slight crease running vertically about 6".
Is there a good way to knock the crease out? The body work has enough curve in it that would rather not hit it with a hammer. But i was thinking if i layed a cylindrical object on the creased area that fit the factory curve of the fender i could strike that. Maybe even some thing soft like a wood cylinder or big PVC section?
I just dont know much about body work so i figured before i take a hammer to the truck i should ask you guys first.
