Sadly decided that as much as I love my 40th I need a V8 to tow and cover ground a bit faster as a DD....so likely jumping into a LX/GX 470.... not in a rush to sell but rather looking for someone who will enjoy the rig as intended.
I've always coveted a 40th since I first saw one.... five 40's and 2 80's later I finally found this rig in TX and knew it was the perfect start for my build.
The PO had maintained it well and started a mild build - he'd also done the HG at 148k and installed the TransGo tranny kit.
my goals were to create a DD that could do extended trips and yet be comfortable to drive and have a comfy interior.... Sadly the most off-road time this truck has seen so far has been dirt roads and one day at the local park to test flex and function. The lockers engage perfectly and the truck is amazingly smooth, and planted feeling onroad as well.
The rig has always been a SE / Texas truck - no prior damage and NO rust, nor pinstripping....
The build has been open checkbook and short of my "dorkle" I've used mostly the best-of avail parts and OEM for most of the wear items from Beno. it is Fully baselined and needs nothing - I'd happily jump in her and head to Alaska ... compression was checked when they did the injectors and it was 130-135 across the motor.
The rig just turned 220k but looks a few years old on the outside, and almost new inside... with a expensive upgrade list:

Replaced PS lines and all vac lines
Dual AGM Dekka Batteries w/ Slee relo kit and Blue sea ACR
New OME steering stab - 555 tie rod ends and Slee relay rod
Custom Depot headlights w/ HID's and blacked out insides plus 100watt highs and slee harness
