My 2004 LC's hood keeps shuting while I am working on it. Where can you get quality replacement actuators with out going to the stealership?

Thanks.

I have the ones from Mr Lou for the hood and the rear hatch. They work perfectly and at a much better price then OEM.

Mr Lou. When I bought my 04 LC one of the hood struts was blown and leaking fluid. The hood would barely stay up with the one working strut. Removed both and installed the first MrLou strut. It was so powerful it would open and hold the hood by itself. Two struts are effortless.

While at it order the rears and change them too, only a matter of time before they are needed as well.

How are the brackets holding up on the non OE ones? Mine have rusted and look like ass. Mr Lou's holding up?

This is my concern. I agree the OE struts are relatively expensive, but we also know they last 8 - 10 years.

Who has had Mr. Lou's the longest? Has Mr. Lou even been out there long enough to have five years of data on TLC's?

I've had mine for over 2.5 years. I will take some pics and post, but have not noticed any rust or corrosion (granted I do not live in the rust belt). I think you guys are just looking for a reason to spend more money. Just because the Mr. T charges more for the OEM parts does not making them automatically a better product.

I concur. A gas strut is an extremely simple piece of equipment.
Can't comment on longevity though as i have only had mine for 4-5 months.

I dig Mr. Lou's, I ordered a pair of lifter for my hood and they were delivered to my front door for $39.69, great quality, good customer service and awesome price.

They wanted like $30 each from my local parts store??? And they didn't have a pair only one? BOOOOO!

Go Mr. Lou's!!!

Hood and rear lifter update. BIG MONEY SAVER!

I have a 2004 LC, just replace both my hood and rear glass lifters with Mr. Lou's lifters, WOW, what a difference having ones that work. Just FYI to get all lifters delivered to my front door was just under $80.00. I know there has been some talk on how long Mr. Lou's last as opposed to the factory replaements. In Austin, TX. the dealership wanted $102.00 a piece for the lifters so $408.00 for the whole set.

I don't care how long Mr. Lou's last I can replace them five times and still not be as expensive as the stealership.

Took less than 30 minutes to in stall all of them. GO MR. LOU'S!!!!

Do you have the part numbers
Thanks
