Shown is driver door edge of our ‘08 LC. Is this hole stock? Looks like a later mod by a PO. What say the all-knowing Mudders?

I don't know what it is there for, but it certainly is not stock.

If you bought it pre-owned it could be a hole drilled by a dent extractor dude. I have heard they are known to drill holes in doors to get their dent removing tools inside the door cavity..... especially at dealerships where they don’t see what they are doing.

Bullet hole

Interesting. I never knew about the dent removal tools.

If it’s a bullet hole, that’d be way cool! :-)

^ This.

The good guys only drill when they have too. The lazy ones drill because it makes their job easier. They never seal the paint but usually throw in a black plastic plug in the hole.

I’m guessing rust proofing. Was it from the east coast or Canada? They drill the hole, usually it looks better than that and put a plug in it after they’ve sprayed oil inside the door. Google Krown Rustproofing. When I spray fluid film I go up from the drain holes in the bottom of the door. No need for that in my polinion, but I didn’t offer a lifetime rust proofing guarantee...

I had thought of rustproofing, but the hole is only in this one door. No other doors have such a hole.

This truck spent some time in Idaho; I bought it off a dealer's lot in Boise. It has a small amount of surface, or flash rust underneath, but nothing bad at all.

I’ll grab the gubs and the micrometer!

LOL!!
