The last weeks have been a bit stressful, that's why you haven't heard anything from me!

I did fix the heater, I'm not sure what the real problem was, I think it was a bad connection to the heater relais. Stripped everything back to original wiring, soldered back together whatever was supposed together, now my heater is actually off on the off position, everything else works normal! My blower fan motor sounds weird still though. Some day it'll get a 24V replacement!

I did not yet fix the cigarette lighter, there's still no wattage present, haven't looked after it still though!

I did however had a nice photo opportunity in the meantime, here's my favorite of the bunch!

Buying a new temperature sending unit didn't help with the temperature gauge sadly, now I'm 100% sure that it's the gauge itself, it's hard to come by a new 24V version though, and I do not like the idea of a separate temperature gauge somewhere, and just having the dead one left in the dash!

Next up is a major maintenance service, I ordered and received all the fluids to change them all, and will also check and readjust valve lash soon!

I'm living in Stuttgart, and i brought a couple of months ago a HJ61 from Holland. Still struggling with the TÜV and it's driving me crazy. Maybe when I get the Zulassung we can meet for a beer!

I'm currently traveling through the Pyrenees and will be back in 3 weeks!

Hey guys!

I just installed the 50mm/2" OME heavy suspension for the diesels (CS005F&CS005RA/B) - and removed the 40mm Body Lift resulting in way better lines regarding the bumpers and in the wheel wells. I also have 90mm shackles in the front, and 120mm in the rear! Thats the distance from pin to pin! 3,54" and 4,72" respectivly for you imperial folks!
I would love for a recommendation from you guys if I need caster correction shims/wedges, and if so how many degrees? Can anyone give an educates guess?

@drwright68 I have worked on the HJ the most for the past year out of all of my vehicles, that's were the money went into the last months! However I'm at at point were the truck is build up quite good and usable for longer trips. And I just trailered the Datsun to my workspace out of town to work on it for the next three months, hoping to get quite far with bodyworks!
In around November I'll be bringing the Datsun back into my small garage, making room for the Toyota in the workshop again over the winter. I'll be rebuilding the front axles, possibly new TREs, building the support crossember for the hitch receiver I integrated into the new rear bumper, modifiying the front bumper or building a new one and finally putting on 33s, possibly BFG KM3s! Making the truck ready for a 3-4 week trip to Tunisia around March next year!

I also just bougth a fun small winter racer on Saturday, it's an Fiat Panda 141A from 1992. It'll be lowered and get some nice wheels!
