yea True thoe for $2000 i wasnt to Fussed about the Cut and Shut Job Used the Car on Fraser Island For 4 years so its served Well hasnt missed a beat :D

Its a weapon

Dont listen to them it is a beast :-)
The best things about HJ 47 cruisers are that a lot of parts are the same as 60 series cruisers drivetrain especially. Suspension is money well spent Fitted OME last year on my SWB and they are great (for a leaf spring anyway) I dont know if you have thought about it or not but if u are going turbo and rebuilding the engine any way why not go 12ht pick up a whole car and use the whole drive train 5sp the lot. Do u know of any good wreckers local that have 40series in their yard I am only new to the area and any advice would be appreciated?
Ps: a 75 series bullbar may fit depending on manufacturer as the chassis rails are the same distance apart.

i'd say: 5 speed - out of a 60 or 75 series
disc brakes, or just for the front (if it hasnt already)
handbrake on the back wheels and not on the transfer
well this is what im about to doto my hj47, along with a turbo. power steering is also a good option.

Yea im On the Hunt Now ive just moved Down here From QLD so will let you no what i come Across.

does doesnt it and sounds like a truck I once had a 47 ute with a turbo 2h ran great and sounded awesome but if u have to do it from scratch its easier and may be cheaper to source a 12ht and the bonus is they are made for the turbo dont be to put off by high ks they last for ages if they are serviced well but a low milage import would be better and they often come with added bonuses like pto winches and cable lockers, 12ht should bolt straight in to ur engine mounts and gearbox mts, will need to mod the gear levers or gbox cover as they exit in different spots if u use the 60series 5sp. U will have the best of both worlds then ute and extra cab for security. is it a cut down troopy or a swb bolted on to lwb chassis. Keep an eye on flea bay for parts as well I just picked up a 40 with arb difflocks both ends and 5 33in coopers for $1100 in sydney so parts are out there. I to have just moved down from NQ so these cockroaches are taking a bit to get used to, lucky we are woppin them in state of origin tho :-)

PS. just finished lookin properly at the photo damn bourbon pretty sure that that is a 1HZ!! another option tho

I see you've played 12HT-1HZ before!

That's definitely a 1HZ. Benefit of a 12HT though would be getting to simply bolt it in place on the H series motor mounts.
