HJ47029735 (2H, H41). Imported to NA last December through Phil at austousa. The vehicle has been an absolute pleasure to wrench on. Currently lives in TX.

Work done so far: turbo, snorkel, power steering, replaced tie-rod ends, new muffler, disc brakes (front only), rear drums replaced, VHF/UHF, weather-stripping in various places, the list goes on and on. H55F going in soon. Cheers.

Show us a picture of your VIN plate, passenger's side of the firewall, inside the engine bay, right by the fresh air blower fan.

In particular, what is the model designation? HJ45RV-KPQ? HJ45RV-KCQ? Something else?

A "Q" in the model designation will tell you it's from Australia (where we see most RHD Land Cruisers come from, especially the LWB Cruisers with the H-series engines).

Is Chamba ( Josh) still on board ?

If he is, I have two that I imported a couple of years ago. One from Australia and the other from Tasmania. Haven’t done much to either just driving them. Going to start a resto on the 1984 soon though. Probably put the 1980 up for sale next summer.

FJ45 270923, Aviatorale, 9/1980 Troopy RHD, (AU) [OR]

HJ47 029926, Aviatorale, 1/1984 Troopy RHD, (AU, pulled from Tasmania) [OR] Diesel, high top from Akarna conversion but not the door? Is there a nickname for this? Sorry, I’m new... ;)

I've seen a few HJ47s with the FJ40-style OEM spare tire swing outs. We're these ever factory installed or were the spares always underneath?
was wondering the same. I have a swing out, which I believe was mounted when the second diesel tank was mounted behind the rear diff. It does look really cool though (I think)
