Im about to shell out for a selectable locker system for my truck Ive got pro comp 33's so they are really 32 1/2" just like the BFG's so im woundering wether I should run a 3:88 rear end or a 3:56. Anyone with a similar set up able to tell me how fast im gonna be able to drive on the highway to work and such?

Your pickup can turn 33's with 3.88s??

I would think it would be slow.....

I'd run 4.11s at least but more likely 4.56s....

yes that most certantly was a typo 4:88 is what i ment.
-Thanks

My T100 turns 305s pretty good with the stock 4.11 gearing, the swampers are a bit heavier, but it turns them just fine as well. You didn't mention what motor you have or what kind of use your rig will see. If it is dedicated trail/around town, and you have the v6/five speed, then 4.88s will work great. If it will see quite a bit of highway use, 4.56 will be better, and if you have any combination that includes the auto or the 22re, 4.88s are the way to go.
Good luck,
Dan

Nate:

I have 4.88's in my pickup, and I run 33x10.50 BFG ATs for street tires. The combo is PERFECT. Speedo and odometer are both dead-on.

Whatcha gettin for a locker?
