How thick are these K&N spacers? I think I would want something around an inch to fit the 305s.

Maujkar, which height size 305's you referring to?

LCKID..i posted a pic here. Thinking of putting a spacer upfront and try these 305 with TRD rims.

Trying to pm you but your inbox full.

Sent you as follows:
How does that compare to my current 305/50 R20 which have just an index-finger between the tire and the UCA? what I'm trying to do is get 55's under there. What you think?

Spacers are 35mm approx 1.37" check the backspacing of different rims as well. The black steelies I had on earlier pushed the wheels more out than the stock alloys

R20s..hmm well most of our middle east spec LC200s are R17 or currently R18s.We prefer R17s so as to add a bigger profile tire for our desert rides. the size I'm interested is 305/70-17 (coz its easily available and is 1/2$ than BFGs). When tested on stock alloys 17x8, they were, like you said, just an index finger away from UCA. this can be a potential hazard to UCA and obviously to the tire. Apart from UCA, i would have to trim the inner plastic guard to avoid excessive rubbing, while turning. The situation is much better if you have 17x7 steelies - So for my case, there are few solutions, as i understand it... to get alloys of different offset, like the TRD 17x8...continue search for hard to find BFG AT 285/75-17... or add a spacer in front (with TRDs) to move the 305s tire away from UCA ;p ...

But..i just love the looks of those beefy 305s ! :)

I don't think the bfg at comes in 285/75 on the site it shows mt's for that size and at's in 285/70. The steelies I had previously were the 17x7 but with the decreased width tire pop outs are more common while offroading

Correct 17x8 is ideal and yeh it was a typo, I meant the BFG AT 285/70s. Did you manage to get a good deal on BFGs?

Got qouted 1,200AED Per tire. You mentioned you had 4 cruisers interested in changing tyres. I'll see if I'm able to get them to drop the price on a bulk order let me know how many tires are wanted in total.

Desert Nomad,

Wanted to ask you what shocks and coils are you using.. What would you recommend for a LC200 in the desert out here.. I would hate to lift the car too much but I am looking for a better ride offroad and still able to use the car for work everyday.

and most importantly who sells them here in UAE

I'm running old man emu's on it for a year now. I was thinking of changing to radflos but still need to sort through some information first. ARB supply them, they had a store in international city but I heard they closed it main shop is in abu dhabi if you call ask for noor he knows his stuff and will find the best setup that suits your needs. There's a whole lot of different setups you can go with as well tjm, ironman, fox but it all depends on your driving style and how or where you like to offroad,. So far the ome have handled a lot and performed well my advice would be to give them a try.

I am going to have my in-house upholstery guys try to make an alice style pack for our APC's and at the same time a couple things for my Jeep and Isuzu.

I would like to know from which audio shop you got your sound system upgraded. Also is Al-Futtaim ok with this mod since I heard they are very particular about warranty coverage if we modify something.

Audio setuo was done with shop called al-jawal here in sharjah I've been used them before on my previous vehicle as well and have done a good job. They have a shop in the yasmeen building but that branch are overpriced there other shop is close to mega mall not sure exact location but I'll try finding their number and post it up here their number isn't coming up under etisalats directory they are the distributors of alpine.

Al-Futtaim haven't given ne any grief regarding warranty I've had an auto locker fit in the rear differential, ome shocks & springs and a steel bumper up front + winch as well as auxiliary lights. The service advisors actually told me to keep all stock parts and swap them back if any problems arise and they'd stay quite about it and on the job cards only thing they noted was the suspension change I think it's mainly the work done on the mods were clean and everything electical was wired up properly with fuses and relays.
With the sound system the only thing they'll see if the amplifier and subwoofer if installed. I had the amp put in under the seat and all the wires run through underneath the carpet and scuff plate
