Left Nazareth PA at 530am Tuesday morning and rolled into Brighton CO at 745pm last night. Took 70, it was about 1740 miles total. Truck performed like a champ, really excited to get to Silverton later today. (I will be representing the Keystone Cruisers with my tshirt, don't worry Andy!)

Posting up pics soon.

Great ride so far you're gonna really love the best part- coming up shortly! In Silverton try Handlebars for supper or the Pickle barrel. In Ouray the BEST place is the BonTon in the basement of the St Elmo Hotel. Keep us posted this is exciting! Here's a few shots of Hurricane and California passes from my trip to CO last eyar. Awesome country! Gary

Have a great time out there. Be sure to stop in Hays, Kansas on your way home and eat at the only Irish/Mexican food restaurant in the world. Carlos O'Kelly's ..

Ditto what Gary said. The BonTon is a great place to eat. Box Canyon lodge is a cool place to stay in Ouray. They have natural hot spring tubs for the guests, which are awesome. The wife and I agree that Ouray may be one of the 5 most beautiful places in the US.

Oh, and @Crusha is right, the only thing more boring than Kansas is Iowa!

The latest issue of the Silverton Standard newspaper (Ive subscribed since 1984) has a neat picture of 49 100 series land Cruiser in Silverton. I am looking forward to seeing your pictures and hearing about the trip!
