I have a 92 FJ80. When I put it in drive and hold the brake on. I have a high pitch noise coming from my rear end area. In neutral it goes away. Just when your in gear and have the brakes on.

While you are completely stopped or moving slightly?

Have you eaten Taco Bell in the last 10 hours?

Maybe post a video on YouTube and post a link here. (Of the truck noise, not the Taco Bell)

Have you checked the fluid level of the transmission? (Warm, in park, engine running)
Warm=driving 10 miles at highway speeds.

Completely stopped.
Odds are, this is transmission or exhaust related.
There is nothing moving on the rear axle that would cause such a noise.
Placing a load on the engine and transmission and not moving would point to a hydraulic pressure, a vacuum leak, or exhaust leak at a specific RPM.
