Nice! Check your tsb list too. Radiator was done on mine by po as well for a tsb. Drive shafts also have one along with front diff supports.

My 03 has 146k. Transfer case leak, both front calipers, a sunroof, a radio, a driveshaft (for the clunk), a spring conversion (compressor crapped out) and a radiator are all the repairs that have been done. Oh, and a broken shifter, same as Dans.

I am looking to buy a gx soon and cant get over the mental barrier of paying $15k+ for a vehicle with over 100k miles, even 104k for example. Am i being silly, or should i just be patient for that rare low mileage beast i want?

I did drive one with 96k the other day and it felt as solid as a new car, so that helped with my confidence.

You're being silly. It may be a bit difficult to get over at first, but 100+k on these trucks is NOTHING.

If you get one over 90k with major service done like timing belt you will save some bucks there too. These things where around $50k brand new. You find one for $15k and you benefit from 70% depreciation. The drivetrain seems solid for 300k easy. I hope to find out.

I hit 219k earlier this week. So happy with my truck.

135K - replaced frozen calipers and that's about it. Radiator is starting to drip a little so I will replace that this fall.

Just crossed 170k. Solid as a rock

I bought an 04 with 250K miles a few weeks ago. Did TB , WP, Etc.
Also replaced radiator and a frozen caliper. That's it.

Bought mine about a month ago, '04 192k on the odometer. PO took excellent care of this thing, handed me a book about 1" thick with all of the Toyota/Lex service history. All major services performed, tranny taken care of at 172k, other than that oil changes every 5k.

My wife's GX just hit 200,000. Next milestone will be 500,000 miles combined between her GX and my 100. Only about 40,000 to go.

I'm at 135k and only have done routine maintenance (other than ripping out leaking airbags). Seeing that this truck should last 300k easily and I work from home and only put about 7k a year on it, I should have it for at least 20 more years lol.

Fixed it for you :D

2009 with 76k miles, so not high mileage here. Messed with the secondary air inject system after a code - debatable if worth the time/money but I did it. Will do fluids/water pump/timing at 90k and plugs maybe at 100k. Book says plugs at 120k but my mechanic thinks sooner is better (I trust him).

My brother drove an 80 out of Denver for 2-3 yrs and it was under powered. The elevation and crossing the mountains to Utah on trips was relevant. He's in a '99 LX (100 series) and it will crawl over anything - there is something to be said for the classic Land Cruiser product.

But the first time I was off road in the GX on the beach, all stock, I recovered another vehicle. Then I was off road on trails a few weeks ago, literally saw a guy laughing at me as I drove by haha, but again all stock the truck reminded me of my brother's 100, it just drives over things, no wheel spinning, great stance, etc. The truck doesn't even notice. I would think with a lift and 33's it would go anywhere outside of rock crawler type stuff. Look up some of the Aussie guys on YouTube running Prados.

There's rumor of a Land Cruiser in Denver with 800k~ miles on it. Google the story of the Tundra engine that hit 1,000,000 miles. Toyota got the truck back, analyzed the engine and it was in great shape. That one was built in Alabama, not even in Japan.

I can't imagine these engines not getting to 300k+. My brother drove a 90s Civic to 300k!
