High mile - P0305 (1 Viewer)

Our farm 2008 (owned since new) just turned 295K miles. Chec check engine light was blinking (employee said last week). Went to see the truck, it is on full time now.

I scanned and found a p0305 on it. I called the dealer, and they said they have to remove the cylinder head to see what is going on. (closest dealer is 218 miles away).

For those of you with 200 series high miles, have you run into this issue?

That's a misfire on number 5 cylinder. Switch the coil pack with another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the coil pack.

There are a lot of steps before removing the head..

Spark plugs, move coil as suggested. Injectors, compression test etc.

Move the coil to a cyl in front, the spark plug to the cyl behind it and see where the problem goes.

coil was the issue on it. all good and back to work
