HID/LED headlight problem, Where is this extra light coming from?

This is not my photo (Bharath Reddy owns the rights) but I’m having the same issue. Where are the 4 extra light spots coming from and how is It remedied.

Those are the OEM "squirrel finders"... It's a "feature", not a "flaw".
 
I have it too and I like to get rid of it :)
Some people have fixed it but can't find any write out about it.
Is there a how-to on this forum somewhere?

Those artifacts are caused by the replacement lamps.

The factory headlights reflectors are engineered to have the lamp filaments at a very specific position in relation to the reflector to get the correct light beam shape. As soon as the filaments position is changed, the beam goes out of whack, and you get weird s*** like that.

As a previous poster mentioned, you can attempt to blank off the offending part of the lamp that's causing it, but a better solution would be to buy a Dot approved replacement kit that replaces the entire headlight assembly that uses the type of lamp you wish to use.
