Well i'm brand new to your boards, but defidently not to message boards. Anyhow, this summer i bought a 97 FJ80 (40th anniversary edition) which has the front and rear E-lockers. I haven't taken it off road as much as i'd like to (partly because i live in southern Virginia)but I plan to change that this year. I have pictures from a camping trip up north posted on this link below. My friend posted them on yodatech.
So thanks for your time if you've read this far, and while i got your attention i will be doing a transmission fluid and filter change here soon and would like to know the best choice for the tranny fluid. The only other thing i will need to do is front wheel berrings.

while your doing the front wheel bearings you might as well to the birf repack. Then you will be good for 60K miles. Good time to do the rotors and pads as well.

In the 80's section main page there is a thread titled FAQ for 80/LX450 series. In the maintenance section there is a thread on the Front axle rebuild complete with pictures. I think in the same section is a discussion on oil from forum members.

welcome aboard :flipoff2:

Yo and welcome from down south a ways.

Welcome, and congrats. Did you buy your truck from John in WV (Bismarkguy)? He seems to get a lot of trucks with lockers.

I'm new too

I traded in my 05 350Z for a brand new Voodoo Blue 2007 FJ Cruiser in November. I just hit 2500 miles as of this week.
I am so glad that I made the switch. Some people may think that was a poor decision, but I think I made a good one. :)

Whats up And Welcome Aboard.

Post up some pics too

:flipoff2:Welcome!
