I installed Cristo's wiring harness a year ago and everything worked fine. With stronger bulbs I was very satisfied.

Now I have a problem that I need diagnosed:

When I have my lights turned on, my hi beams no longer turn on when I pull or push the light switch.
When I have the lights off and I pull the light switch in, the hi beams come on just fine.

Any ideas on what's up?

TIA,
Doschev

Well it's not slee's harness. It's something in the truck's harness. My first guess would be in the light stock but that's only a guess. I don't have time to look through my Electrical manual right now but can later on if nobody else answers.

I do agree it sounds like a switch problem, but it's painless to put the circuit back to the original configuration, so do that first to eliminate the Slee harness as the possible problem.

Disconnect the harness connectors near the lights, making sure the old unused ones are _really_ clean inside. Plug everything up as they originally were. This will eliminate the harness as a possible problem.

When you reassemble the harness connectors, use silicone tune-up grease in the contacts. Do this also at the four light bulbs.

Good luck.

John, you must have missed my post, it's not the Slee harness. The Slee harness uses a single bulb connection for a trigger to activate a relay for both bulbs. So since the highs do work when the switch is turned off then the harness is good.

How could it be the switch if it works fine when the lights are off?

There are two distinct switches controlling the headlamps in the combination switch. The dimmer switch is divorced from the light switch. It is possible to have a problem with one that would not affect the other.
