Well guys - today started out OK (except for Tellico). I went to see a client and on the way back a PT Cruiser (funny huh?) rolled through a red light getting off of 385 @ Roper Mtn. I side swiped it and then ran over the curb. Everyone is OK. It looks like I rubbed a rock down the entire lower part of my passenger side - all panels except for the front quarter - sliders did help. I blew out both front tires and have BIG fender bulges now. At least it wasn't my fault. I've got some cell phone pics that Alex is uploading for me. I need a drink... :crybaby:

And the funniest part is the cop showed up in a Jeep - cops will drive anything nowadays!

Merry April Fools!

You're dumb...

Well hell.

Karma is a b*&$%.

I got rear ended yesterday at the SAME EXACT intersection that I said I was hit in for my April fools joke...shesh!!!

Some big dummy with FL tags driving a Honda Element stopped behind me at a red light and then for no reason decided to try and drive through me! The light was still red and no one else moved!

I was soooo confused! I turned my head around and said "what the (insert word)?!?"

Two cop cars and three cops showed up - one cop had to show up and direct traffic while the trainee cop and her trainer showed up. There is a funny story here that I'll tell in person...

The Honda Element needs a new front bumper, hood, grill, and both front quarter panels.

My FJC took 90% of the impact to the spare tire. My receiver hitch took most of the rest. I do have one spot on my bumper. I'm going to have it checked out to see if anything is messed up but looking at it you can't really tell I was hit...but who knows with these things, there could be bent stuff....

tsk tsk tsk..........shoulda been drivin the pig.

make sure it did not damage your door then or bend the hinges for rear door.....i have contemplated reducing air in my spare so it would be more of a cushion than another hard object if I get hit......hoping they nose dive and hit the double hook sticking out of receiver instead :D :D

I was wondering about that too. It would be good news to hear that the spare tire took a pretty good lick without caving in the door.
I've always been curious about how beefed up that rear door is. I keep expecting to back into a tree in the woods with it. The parking sensors are a waste of money.

ouch, yeah im curious to the extent of the damage as well. Damn Karma!

I got it checked out - very little damage. The bumper trim over the receiver hitch is toast and the lower trim piece on the lower left of the rear door is toast. I also have a little smudge on my spare wheel - besides that everything is apparently OK per a body shop.

Here is the kicker - the tard that ran into me has "coverage issues" and probably is uninsured - I'm waiting the final verdict from Geico.

Here is the second kicker - My uninsured deductible is $200 which is all the damage I have.

If he is uninsured he will get one chance to pay up or Magistrate's Court here I come!

The guy who hit me does not have insurance.

Hmmm - what to do now.

I have a couple hundred dollars in damage and my deductible for uninsured motorists is $200.

[STRIKE]I think he has one chance to pay up or he will be in court.[/STRIKE] Nevermind - I have something better in mind. :hhmm:

Check under your hood for bulges...I hear a rear-ender like you described could cause some damage along your inside fenders. :)
