Looks way better than the ARB to me.

WAYYYYYYYYYY better. I knew Kaymar would come through. I wonder when it's available.

Now I'm glad I held off. No offense to other manufacturers but that Kaymar is a work of art. Anyone have an inkling of the price on that beauty?

Edit, ok since Silverdusk already asked about the weight, I'll ask about the price. :D

Maybe it is just the picture, but it does not look like the departure angles are improved over stock . Definitely more functional than the stock plastic though.

Kaymar bumpers are bulletproof. Not made for departure angles- they are made to be dragged off rocks and whatever, while providing a great amount of protection to the vehicle, and giving optional swing out tire carriers and jerry can mounts.

The Kaymar looks obviously nicer than all other rear bumpers on the market. ARB even advertises Kaymar bumpers, so I am wondering why they even bothered with that sad excuse they came up with. ARB is the king of front bumpers, but Kaymar has always been the king of the rear bumper.

Dam, now I've got to buy the FJcruiser to go with that beast of a bumper.

...

I like!

Anyone know if it can be used with the stock spare tire mount on the back door?

Now why would you want to do that?:confused::confused:

Why not? The back door of the FJ looks nekkid without the spare. I would prefer it there.

Looks naked without the spare and jerry can in place maybe. Go check out some other pics at Man-A-Fre man. They show it loaded up.

I too prefer the stock spare tire mount location.

Kaymar is aware of this, and may look into modding the bumper so it will only have one swingout, the one for the fuel can.

If they can not do that, I would still consider it without any swingouts.

Expedition One will soon be releasing their rear bumper, and it will use the factory hitch and the backup censors.

That is another contender to look at, and there is the possibility of swingouts.

Tcao took these pics.
This is only the prototype...

There are some of us who want those swing outs for the tire and gas can (Kaymar). I hope they understand people will buy one, but not the other if they make that decision. Why not offer multiple variations on the bumper?

I'm with you here. Looking at the bumper at MAF, the jerry can holder would need to be rotated to make it clear the stock wheel location. It'd stick out along way then... But in terms of aesthetics, you really can't see the nekid stock spare mount when the swing out is on. With escalating wheel / tire weight on my rig, I really want this sucker for the swingout. Playing with the bumper in the photo, it has a real smooth motion and is very well balanced so it's really easy to move. All the stock spare mount is doing is slowly breaking the hinges and making the rear door a real pain to open... :)

That rocks. I can't wait to get one!

Looks to me that Hi-Lift adapter should fit the stock FJs tire rack too.

I had contacted Man-A-Fre eons ago if they knew the Kaymar standalone Hi-Lift mount would work, but they were not sure.

I carry mine up front though on the ARB bumper.
