All my handles on my FJ55 need to be rechromed, as they are pitted and cracked, making it painful to grab. So, I have discovered two options: standard chrome plating, or chrome powder coating. Thoughts? Comments? Experience? Previous experience? Future experience?:wrench: Thanks.

That girl is all about chrome
She sure loves chrome"

I have seen the chrom looking powder coat and it looks cool, not really like chrome but I think it looks really cool. These are still available if you'd rather replace them.

Anyone else have experience with re-chroming pieces? Any recommended shops in the Michigan area? How about powder coating? Thanks.

Good Chroming is expensive. Have you priced the chrome job? I'd think about powdercoating or replacing with oem from toyota.

Ive used HPC coatings on a few of my vehicles, I like it, Its not chrome but it is a nice silver color...

All the silvery stuff is HPC'd
I agree on the cost of good chrome plating, Its also getting harder and harder to find companies to do it, You may need to ship it all off the Cali and have it done there, I saw a show about it and it seemed to be your best bet, I dont remember the show but it was some car build up show.
Good luck
