My next iteration:
Move Pump and bladder to Passenger 2nd row storage box, being built real soon. Valve to be located on the side of the box, utilizing a Valterra quick connect valve. Quick connect to the heat exchanger. Very little setup but should be ready for camp in 30 seconds or so.

Flow report.
Thef 4.0 GPM Shureflo Pro, restricted by 3/8 connectors yields 2 GPM with excellent pressure. It came with 1/2" barb.

Attached picture shows the 3/8" barb.

First test was 54 second 2 gal cold water
Second test was 1 min and 4 sec with hot water. Hot water test was to check fittings and pump under hot conditions

Reviving a very old thread here. I came across one of these used and am excited to do the installation. One question I had for @cruiseroutfit or anyone else that may remember- there are four ports on the heater- two -5/8" and two-3/4". One of the 3/4" is painted blue and one is painted red. Pretty obvious there that blue is input and red is output. But what about the 5/8"? Is blue output (because the heat has been sumped to the water)? Or is blue the input port, in keeping with the 3/4" trend? OR does it even matter because it's just a U-shaped pipe going through the water coil?

Most ideal is if the hot coolant flow direction is opposite that of the water flow direction. It will work better this way. Maybe not by a lot, but it will be better.

I have a used one of these for sale if anyone is interested.

Could you post up where you got the brass pick up ? does it have a screen in it ? I really like that piece. I have been using a pvc cap with a sock over it for years as it is easy to clean the sock out.
