Ok fj25 owners I got a new thing for you look at, it is an fj25 called mini cruiser, yes it is the same as the ones you guys have but this one is believe it or not, was made in Philippine by the authorization of Toyota manufacture in Japan!! Under delta name it started being manufactured in the 60s during some war in the region !!

Oh well I got my hands on one and I'm rebuilding it but with a diff engine and transmission, I don't wana bother collecting parts, it is v.rear.

But I needed to ask you guys is it possible to install a defflock ? how ? and what are the parts needed ?

Here is some pictures I found searching the net.

this is mine ...

Your vehicle is spec'd with a bunch of parts from different sources, as is common to offshore builds like this one. From the pics you linked, it looks to me as if you have a Dana type rear axle.

Dana makes several different axles such as the model 20, 30, and 44. Chances are, on the forward side of the differential, a few inches back from the driveshaft flange [or more probably yoke] you will find a code embossed on the nodule. This should help you identify the unit. I think it is also possible to identify it just from the shape of the differential cover, but I am not familiar enough with Danas to tell you more about that.

Most of the diff locks that you are gonna find for the Dana are going to require you to disassemble the nodule, replacing the ring gear on a new carrier. The possible exception would be the Aussie Locker. Do a thread search on here and you will learn more about their products.

Good luck

Mark A.

thanks alot man

Very cool rig! I agree with Mark, it may be a Dana. If you can't find any numbers take a bunch of pictures maybe someone can identify it. Hate to say it, maybe the Jeep poeple could be more help.

What motor transmission and transfer are in there? I know they used a R series 4 cylinder, but no idea what the drivetrain was.

Looks to be a Dana 44. And, is that rig, it will be very tough. Get some closer pics of the axle and rear diff cover. I can help you will locker options.

Fun stuff, I love those little cruisers :D
