Alright, so I need help deciding on what to do with my new ARB bumper.

1) I can leave it powder coated black. This is the most durable option and obviously the least expensive.

2) I can have it sandblasted back to metal and have it re-powder coated silver. This is also quite durable, but costly. Also the silver is not based on the color code of the vehicle so it may not match perfectly.

3) I can have it professionally sprayed silver based on the color code of my LC. They would need to sand the powder coat a bit to get good adhesion. It will match perfectly, but I'm concerend as to paint's durability. I could go either flat or gloss with many layers and even more layers of clear coat.

What would you do?

My LC is silver, obviously.

In Australia, ARB matches their bumpers to the paint color. Not too many folks do that over here -- maybe this will make it unique.

Here's a black one on a silver LC200 (only pic I could find):

LOL....ummmm I would just leave it black (which I did). Looks more bad ass that way. Plus when you scratch it up, which you will, if it is color matched, I think the scratch may look more horrible.

But hey....do what you want!

BTW what is the price difference from arb on a paint matched vs black version?

They don't offer a color matched version in the US....at least I don't think so...

EDIT: Nope. Not in the US. ARB recommends color matching it with paint. Evidently its a proprietary powder coat that will easily accept paint once scuffed.

It's getting painted silver on Tuesday :D

Black bro. I opted for the TJM T-15 in AL for my truck and I've been considering having it powdercoated black lately, but I guess it sorta stands out as raw AL I suppose.

Not a bad price IMHO. They wanted $300 plus to PC my AL bar black.

$300

Including scuffing, sealing, base coat, clear coat

I think the silver looks great. BTW your can have PC mixed to color match your paint.
My client ordered an Icon, an the body was Powder Coated to match the teams color.
But for $300 bucks you could have your bumper painted 3 times for the cost to custom PC.
