Hi All, I am after some advice in wiring my Contura Carling switches. I can't seem to get the LEDs to do what I want them to do. Follow the link for a picture which should help explain the problem.
I am trying to get the "text" and "img" to illuminate independantly. The "text" proves to be a problem with V1D1 type switches (ON/OFF), eg: the Thermo fans provide power when they are running, so it needs a seperate power source (dash light pwr) to illuminate the "img". Also being able to illuminate the "text" from pin 3 seems a problem and needs a constant power source. Do i need a different carling switch with seperate LED terminals?
Similarily to E-Start (V2D2) (momentary ON), pin 8 is currently jumpered to pin 3, but have found that this only results in the "img" being illuminated whenever the charge light is "on" on the isolator. So I need to wire it in a way that the "img" is illuminated when the switch is "ON". Do I need to hook up a relay to do this?
I have simply jumpered all the earths in series (pins 7, 9, 6, 3, 6, and 3.) and tried to run dash pwr for the "text" by jumpering in series (pins 10, 3 and 3) which was not obviously going to work, but was just experimenting with trying to get them to light up.
I also attached a pic of the isolator wiring setup just as an FYI.
Thanks
