Help: What seals need to be replaced? Engine oil leak. (1 Viewer)

This is a pal's 80. Mine is a diesel so I'm not so familiar with it. What kind of motor is this?

It's probably the distributor o ring. Mine looks like that. The part is around $4.00.

It's a 4.5 1FZFE.

I would guess from the pics it is the oil pump cover seal not the dist. o-ring.
Or possibly the front crank seal.

Either way the leak does not look bad at all.

The oil pump cover seal is a real bitch to change

If it were me I would just run it and keep an eye on it, it really is not leaking bad at all.

Engine ID: 1FZFE unless you got something different in your market. But at a glance it looks identical to the USA configuration.

With the replacement of the OP gasket and the distributor O ring (and the valve cover gasket) I now have (for the moment anyway) no leaks!
