I have looked and looked and cannot find a video or writeup on how to replace the axle bearings and seals on an FJ80. Everything I find is for FZJ80s.
Mine is a 1991 FJ80 not triple locked, drum brakes.

It is all detailed in the Toyota factory service manual starting on page SA-58, along with EVERY other system on the vehicle.

We just had a clarification thread on this topic last week, that will outline a well accepted and widely used alternative to the FSM approach to setting wheel bearing preload torque, especially if you are running oversize wheels and tires

Many of us use the 35 ft/lbs on the inner nut and 45ft/lbs on the outer lock nut front and rear. Then secure and the set screws for the rear lock ring at 45 in/lbs. VS playing around with a fish scale and all that nonsense.

Different for semi flat axle though, no?
