Heyo-

I need some wisdom. I put a 4HE1T Isuzu diesel into my 40 and I need to figure out a radiator. My plan is to do a radiator, intercooler, and an AC condenser and pull with an electric fan. Not much room for all of that. The original radiator for the Isuzu was a tall, thin, skinny unit that wouldn't fit behind a 40 grill.

So, I’m trying to sort out how much radiator I need to keep the engine happy. I’d use my 4 core 40 radiator, but I know they don’t handle much more than 7 psi without leaking. The Isuzu unit, I think, took 15 psi.

Anyone have any wisdom on this, or some good resources? Planning to build a custom shroud and support, so as long as it fits between the headlights and behind the grill, I’m open to it.

I would think one of the 4 core aluminum radiators designed for the FJ40 would be enough to cool it. They would also take the increased pressure. Electric fans would help it a lot.
