I'm sure there is a way to do this and I'm just not finding this. Please be patient with me :D

In VB I could search my username in advanced search, with the results as threads. It would show a menu of all the threads I had posted in in chronological order and I could see if there were replies AFTER mine. That way I knew to check back with out subscribing (doesn't work for me) or simply checking each and every thread.

Any suggestions?

Thanks guys!

Alerts could work if I start watching threads.

The standard post search will show me all my recent posts, but it won't list them as threads and show if there have been posts following mine such as VB did/does. I'm sure there is a way to do it??

For example, if I search my username on a VB forum advanced search... I get this and I can see if there are replies on thread I want to read.

Odd, something comes up every week or so on how a member uses a feature that I had never thought of, or never needed... ;)

Search > Threads and Posts > enter username, select "most recent" and "display results as threads" returned this for me:

I don't know if that's the result you are trying for. I don't know if there are ways of getting different results.

That works to show me a list of all the threads I've participated in, but I'm not seeing a way to get a list of threads I've participated in that have new replies as the standard VB search does? No biggy, I'll start watching threads so I get alerts. Thanks for the help Woody!

Many of the other unrelated forums I use have an option to "Find new replies to my posts". This is a very useful feature.

You also have a Preferences setting you can check that automatically Watches any thread you reply to or create.

Combined with the first Alert Preferences setting checked, you can achieve the same thing without having to manually watch each thread you participate in.

I learned some good things in here.

I do not see any questions asking if we can search for threads started by a specific user in a specific forum?

Unless I am misunderstanding, I can search for posts by members, but I used to be able to search for threads STARTED by a specific user, in a specific forum.

Any guidance is appreciated!

Thanks
