Toyota has discontinued the following & i'm having a hard time finding one in the states.

Toyota Part Number: 33513-60010

SHAFT, CONTROL SHAFT BRACKET, UPPER

I have a 1970 FJ40 with a 3 speed column shift and need the small spring loaded shaft that the shift lever feeds into so I can shift. I attached a schematic of the assembly and just need the 33513 shaft.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

YES! I would appreciate it greatly if you look to see if you happen to have one. I need one so I can finish fixing my FJ40. Thanks!!!

Would you be interested in a used one from a '69? My son (jacamp003) has one from his 40. We could go out and look through his dismantled parts after he gets home from school.

let me know if this looks useable for your truck.

SEK, you scored, most of us try to sell that stuff for a few years, then just throw it away to clean our garages.

If you can score more then one you should. I have a few spares. That part the threads that go into the collar often strip out and either the collar or that part or both are the problem. A few months ago I ordered from Toyota the new collar as part of the turn signal part. I have also seem people weld a washer on the top after the threads strip as well as tap a hole into it to bolt a washer onto it to hold it into the collar on the steering column.

We started out welding a bolt to the top of it and then welded it to the collar. Then the collar completely broke. Ordered new collar & it wasn't threaded. Found an old collar that was threaded and was trying to clean up the original shaft and it snapped during re-threading. Tried to weld it and rethread it & snapped again (which was a big risk to begin with). Lost the dimensions in the process. If I get the new one I will make a print of it so it can be machined as I can see how this is going to periodically happen.

Attached is a print I made of the column shifter shaft on a 3 speed, 3 on the tree. This is for the threaded variety. Some aftermarket turn signal collars that this threads into doesn't have threads. In that situation the smaller end of the shaft needs to be machined to 5/16" and you will want to leave a little longer stock on it than what I show.
