Hey folks, need help installing from OEM bumper, I bough mines with a bull bar and I am switching back to OEM and need help putting this puzzle together. Pretty much bough everything on the parts diagram but I still feel like I am missing parts( screws, clips etc) can someone please share the instructions off the service manual for the removal or installing of the from bumper for a 1997? Thanks in advance

What model are you working on (FZJ80) and can you post up a photo of what you have done so far?

Is this the parts diagram you have? (should be correct for US FZJ80 models)

Yeah it’s a FZJ80 and yeah that’s the diagram I’m working from and ordering parts. So I don’t have picture of what I’ve so far but I already put the frame extenders pieces and attached P# 52141D and P#52149. The issue I am having is connecting the actual bumper bar to the P#52149. I’m not sure if I’ve the right hardware, I ordered base on parts number but it doesn’t seem to fit properly so maybe I made a mistake. I also can find the right orientation for both p# 52144A. Honestly even a picture of this area would help if anyone has one.

Put the 52149s on the bumper first. There are special smooth, painted bolts (5211c) that come in from the top of the bumper and a nut underneath.

The nuts for these are

90179-08063

Don't fully tighten the nuts yet.

Then, when you put the bumper with those parts loosely attached down on to the 52142Cs, you will use nuts 90179-10134, again keeping things loose for now.

Continue with other parts.
