HAving some issues connecting my batteries, changed them out, not sure if i put the new ones in correct.
had the truck running and then the battery post started sparking.

It is Ground To Negatve
Positve to 2nd negative
2nd Posive to Starter and other stuff?

Whats the correct sequence to hook them up?

I keep geeting arcs, screwing up my posts..

Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong...

Leaving in the AM fishing..

Connect the ground last, and make sure you have good connections. IMG_0013.jpg

Yup the directions someone supplied are correct - also loose terminals e.g. wiggling them will cause a short and less than a second the terminals will melt.

You also must have a live circuit when the ignition is off and thats when you the fry the posts. DO not wiggle them the terminals must fit on first time without wriggling them and be tightned so you never loose good contact.

Don'y know whats going on, still arcing i just touch teh last Ground when hooking up and she frys??? My Post is wrecked now on that battery, Any Suggestions to what might be going on??

Thanks

Brent

Check and make sure the new batteries are the same orientation... -+-+ and not -++-. Turn off all accesories and double check connections. It worked before and not now something wrong with the batteries.

Disconnected power to Sterter, hooked batteries up, no arcing....Must have fried my starter with the connections not being good....

The starter looks like its going to be fun to get out, seems pretty tight to remove with out taking Inner, fender out, or throttle body etc from the top...
