Help identifying this sensor (2 Viewers)

Does any one know what this sensor is for? The wire which was connected broke off. There is another one closer to the cab which I assume is the water temp.

That looks like a cool temp sensor. Does your temperature gauge work?

+1 looks like a water temp sensor to me. My rig has 2 different looking ones too.

I didn’t see the +1. Oops.

The second picture didn’t come through until after my comments. It is definitely a temp sensor.

I am limbo right now. Waiting for a part to come in and thought I would clean it up a bit. The wire is super brittle and broke off. I just assumed the other sensor was for the temp. I will try it out in a couple days when it's back up and running.
