Hi Folks,

Avid reader and new member of the Forum here.
Just got an 80 a few weeks ago and as is my first one I am lost with a couple of parts/connections which I need to identify.

One is the hoses at each side of the block near the firewall, they are both interrupted. I do have heating though. What are they for?

Second is a plug inside the Engine bay just below the DTC. Am I missing a part here?

Last one is what seems to be a mount for the tranny, I think I am missing a plate that connects the mount to the chassis, is that possible?

Appreciate your help. There are very few FZJ's over here.

Cheers

Leo

Hoses are for the rear heater. Yours obviously wouldn't work at this point. Look up the "pesky heater hose". Not sure about the other two.

The rubber block on the side of the transfer case is a vibration dampener. Does not seem to do much so many of us remove the block and mounting bracket.

The plug is maybe for power antenna. Does yours work?

Cheers guys...appreciate the help and more so in such a an immediate fashion...

On the rear heater side of things I could not care less, but if it has anything to do with pesky I'd better look it up...

Re the vibration dampener I might give a try to fabricating my own plate, I notice a slight vibration coming from the tranny...

Lastly my power antenna does work...if your rigs do not have anything else on that side of the engine bay then I am not concerned...

Thanks again and beer is on me if you ever come down this side of the woods...

you may know this, but that main harness loom is not OEM. It appears your truck has been rewired. not sure of your year, but there should be a diagnostics port on the firewall on the little clip in your 2nd pic.

definitely replace the PHH, that could cause major damage. http://ajikoverlandexchange.com/?s=phh @VanGo is a vendor on here and has helped many people with the replacements. I got mine from him.

Thanks...
The diagnostics port is working as I am getting P0135, PO131, P0325 and P0330...

Cannot avail of US vendors as I am based in Argentina :(
