So I have an SRS issue. The light doesn't activate immediately upon turning the key to the on position. After 6 seconds, it turns on. Field manual indicates that it is most likely a short to ground on the circuit outlined here. What is the EA3 in the top left corner and where is it located physically on the car?
I fixed a blown-out B-Y wire going to the diagnostic port on the firewall hoping that would fix my issue but it did not.
Upon further diagnosis, I found the LA terminal on the airbag sensor assembly was only receiving 2 volts instead of 10-14 volts. I checked the whole circuit for continuity and everything looked good, but voltage is certainly being lost somewhere. I'm going to feed 3 volts through various lines on the circuit but I am unsure of EA3 is in the top left corner of the wiring diagram or where to physically find it on the car. Does anyone have this info?
For future Googlers: The SRS light constantly blinks a code with no matching pattern in the field service manual. Grounding the TC and E1 circuits on the diagnostic port causes ABS, Cruise control, and SRS lights to blink in half second intervals. The previous owner of the car relocated the wiper fluid reservoir near that diagnostic port to install a second battery tray. The B-Y wire for the TC port of the diagnostic terminal was rubbing on the reservoir and rubbed off all the insulation on the wire.
Thank you for the help,
Alex
