I'm about to buy my first Land Cruiser. It's a 2002 100 series. I hate the wheels and tires that are on it and want to replace them. Will all year tundra take offs fit my Land Cruiser? What is the largest tire size I can run on my Land Cruiser without a lift kit?

Hi Kevin, The problem with tundra take-offs, is that the center caps on your front wheels won't fit without modification:

1.) drilling a hole in the plastic center cap or
2.) The grease cap (which is the underlying problem), can be flattend somewhat
3.) wheel spacers... I think this is a solution, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If you don't mind drilling a hole in the plastic center cap, and having a brass looking bulge, where there was a toyota logo, then you are good to go

The bolt pattern will work, but the center caps need modification.

Up to a certain year Tundra wheels fit, then I believe the newer ones need the spacers. I think the Tundra wheels fit up to around 2007. I have Tundra wheels on mine and yes, the Tundra center caps on the front won't work, but my old center caps from my 16" wheels fit perfect, and they look exactly the same, only deeper. I have 18" Tundra wheels with 275-70-18 BFG AT and that was before my lift and nothing rubbed.

Who needs center caps (Tundra steelies).

@Manhattan can you tell me what size wheels and tires you are running? Do you have stock suspension?

Those are 18" Tundra steel wheels - same diameter/width/backspacing as OEM 100 wheels.
Tires: 285/70/18 - kinda the standard upsize for the 100
Suspension: IronMan 2.5 springs and torsion bars, IronMan Foam Cell shocks and SPC UCAs.

Would the 285/70/18 need a suspension upgrade to clear?

I Think that is going to be tight... you might get a bit of tire rub on corners with that 33.7" tire. 33" tires tend to clear and articulate well.

Just do a search, tire size has been covered many times.

I could be wrong ..

But to help clear up any confusion bfg does not make a ko2 in the listed above 285/70r18

Manhattan is likely running a tall skinny 275/70r18

The other common size for 100s is the 285/65r18

Yes @CanadianRockyCruiser 18's sorry. Thanks for the info! lloks like 285/65/R18 will be the best bet. not to come up with the $$$ and a 5th rim for my spare.

I put 275/70/18 BFG ATs on when my 100 was stock - they fit perfectly, e.g. no rub lock to lock, off-road, etc. All I did was crank the torsion bars - nudging the front end up about 1/2". But, that wasn't necessary to run those tires. Then, I lifted the truck 2.5" and bought another set of 275/70/18 BFG KO2s. I am almost certain (someone will correct me if I'm off) that they are the largest tire that will fit in the spare well. Buy 5 and do a 5-tire rotation.

Stock suspension, TBs cranked 1/2"
(friend took the picture... yeah, he's a pro)

Lifted, next set of BFGs, on the wheels you just got:
