Well, I finally got around to putzing with it yesterday. Put a battery in it, lifted the air cleaner a bit, gave it a shot of ether and whammo, it fired right up and ran smoothly. Not bad, considering the gasoline in it was very old, at least 2 years maybe 5, I can't remember.
Of course there was one problem, when I tried to disengage the clutch when I started it, the pedal went to the floor, no resistance. The master cylinder was empty. I didn't have a chance to look at it but I think the flexible hose that attaches to the slave cylinder has deteriorated and leaked. No biggee, pretty easy to fix but I won't get a chance to look at it until this Saturday. So... until then.
