I picked up my first 80 series a couple of weeks ago. It's a low mileage 1992 in pretty decent shape. There is some rust (it spent the fist decade of life in Vermont before coming to Colorado) but overall things are pretty grand. I was lucky enough to get it from the original owner. I've wanted one for quite some time and I have to say it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

Nice looking truck. I am very partial to red. I have had 2 in white and one in black. Need to add red to the list.
Welcome to mud 🙂

Welcome and congratulation.
May your 80 series journey continually bear much happiness and adornment. Let this honored custodianship bring about great nobility for you and your loved ones.

Many happy smiles and miles. Colorado is such a great 80 state with Slee and a host of great gear providers.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I'm hoping to get my LC out on the trails soon. I need to change out all the fluids and look into a rather loud whine in the drive train before I put more than around town miles on her. I'll feel better after I do some routine maint! The previous owner had not driven it in a year or two but she kept it well maintained and to my delight it already had 33" KO tires on all 4 corners!

Welcome to Mud !
You have come to the right place and we will help you spend your money 😜

Welcome to MUD!
Where are you the front range?
If you're in the denver area hit up the Rising Sun.

There's also a local group in the Springs, Colorado Land Cruisers

Also Fort Collins area, Horsetooth 4 wheelers cruiser club
So many kool clubs in your area!

might want to look into replacing those tires.... they haven't made the KO in over 10 years or so.... Look for the production date.

lots of cool trails too, but none as famous as the Jewel of the Sierras.
I need to get the 80 ready to run the
Dusy Ershem at the end of the month 😎

Congrats! I almost scored a red one like yours years ago. They are such capable cars, your going to love it, especially in your state. This forum is an amazing place for info, and all the members in my relatively short time on the forum have been incredibly friendly and helpful.
