Wow, this is an awesome board. I wish I had found it sooner (before I bought my "92 FJ80). The 3F-E is a dog! The truck seems pretty nice though. I just bought it Wed. I live im MI, it's been pretty cold here lately. I was wondering if the locks freeze easily? I've had it for 2 days and have had to keep it unlocked the whole time. The truck is in the shop now getting keyless installed. I know it's a little late to ask this question but I will anyways. The truck I bought has 102,000 on it, it has no rust ,no rips, bright paint, the tires are new and it only had one previous owner who took great care of it including keeping the rust proofing up to date, the truck is loaded the only thing it doesn't have is leather (i'd rather have cloth), it's also completely stock. I paid $9500 for it. Does this seem like to much and if so how much do you think it's worth (I know what blue book says)? Be honest I can take it. Thanks in advance for any reply's and I look forward to many posts in the future.

Welcome :flipoff2: (IH8MUD salute)

I think that sounds a little high, but it sounds nice and if you are happy with it, thats all that really matters. Mileage is pretty low for a 3FE .... just getting broken in! Hope it serves you well.

It is probubly just a worn out key, kind of a mute point though.
Welcome

"Did I pay too much?"

Never ask that question. We probably all paid too much, and what you did pay is a FRACTION of what you are going to pay on modifications after you spend some time on this site.

Welcome!!

Welcome aboard.
When I bought my truck I may have paid a little more than I should. After owning it, working on it, receivng great joy from it and having it become a part of my life, I way underpaid. I wish I had become a cruiserhead erlier in life.

welcome aboard newbie :flipoff2:

with the exception of a select few, everbody paid too much for their cruiser -- this has been the consensus of the forum for as long as I can remember...don't ask that question again if you want to be happy with your purchase :) ...besides...it's too late to ask.

On the up-side, your 3FE is a dog, but it'll last a good long time and it'll try it's darnest to keep you from getting speeding tickets.

Welcome abroad , oh i mean aboard,
I like everyone else on this forum will tell you to not ask this question!
it all comes down to how you feel about it. it sounds like a nice truck with low miles that was taken care of! now everyone is going to ask

My thoughts exactly! Before I was just plain broke. Now I am happily broke. What was I doing with all of my time and money before this?

Doubtful in a 92 unless someone installed aftermarket ones.

welcome newb

not to worry about your 3fe being a DOG. they're all dogs. but realy the proper term is PIG [ not dog] :D again welcome

Congrats, welcome, and let's see some pics!

I've added some accessories and made some changes to my truck.

My all time favorite and cheapest mod was to give the driverside front window the auto-up ability. I realise it's kind of cheesy to point that one out, but it cost less than 1.00, took only 1/2 an hour to do and I use it almost everytime I drive the truck.

Welcome aboard.

One post only. Is that like a one trick pony?

Yes your 3FE is a dog with fleas. :flipoff2:

Welcome newb :flipoff2:

Did I pay too much? You might as well answer that no win question with the inside voice;

Honey, do these pants make my Butt look big

Your Butt looks great in those pants and out(outside voice)

Your fat Butt makes your Butt look big (Inside voice)

Thanks for the nice welcome. I'll take some pic's tomorrow and try posting them. I had the alarm/keyless/remote start installed, much better than using those picky lock cylinders, no more frozen locks. I'm wondering, if I don't do off-roading are the lockers a big deal? I of course have the center diff lock, I thought that would be good enough. I purchased a warranty for the powertrain, 5 years 100,000 additional miles, it was relatively cheap $648, hopefully I wont need it. Anyone else have any type of warranty? Are these engines easy to work on? I also have a 2003 Explorer, the L/C is better looking and it's 11 years older.

Depends on where you live. If you live in LA and don't plan on going offroad, you won't even need the CDL. If you live in Fargo, there are probably a few days the lockers would come in handy.
