I have started the huge job of replacing my heater core:o What a job. I have spent about 5 hours taking it apart and it will take me about 10 to put it all back . That is if i ever get the parts. My shocks are atill somewhere In the States I order them in july. well If any one wants to see under the dash of a hdj81 give me a call:cheers::cheers:

Hows that heater core going jeremy? Did you find one? I've seen your truck sitting at work later at night...Is it living there for now?

the heater core was a baster to get back in but it is done. have a different problem now the rad is building huge psi. blow the lower hose off the rad going up to duncan Also their is a pin hole leak in the top of my rad . I did what you said and bought a new rad cap and some jb weild went fishing and back no problems now.

I take that back. I have big problems. Could the water pump make enough psi to blow the hose off the rad. Well I will see what is going on when i get home tonight. I think it is a head gasket.:crybaby:

sounds like a head gasket:frown: Or a cracked :censor:....(I won't say it) Are you getting any bubbles with your rad cap off?

I get bubbles at high rpm, not alot but some could that be from air in the system? their is alot of floatys in the coolent looks like flakey skin. No steam in the exaust pipe. No oil in the water No water oil. Good power runs smooth. When I got home today I filled the rad with water so I could find the leak and it looks like it blew the bottem of the rad. from what I could see the rad looks blooned out. I wonder if a compresion test would tell me if it is a head gasket. Seems kinda funny that I drove it for three hours streight on the hiway and did not have a problem. Then a short trip to work and poof.
