happy thanksgiving all. So my week of vacation with the cruiser was going well until yesterday when I apparently knocked something loose when working under the dash or bonnet and lost all headlights. My projects yesterday included installing a new stereo, pulling down the climate controls to verify their functioning, and moving the voltage regulator around a bit to connect snorkel. All other lights and electronics function and none of the fuses are blown. I also did some poking around near the fuse panel to run wires through the firewall for the stereo. Any insightful thoughts on the most likely culprit that would take out the headlights? I also have an aftermarket iPFF (I think that's the name) h4 headlight kit with harness installed but it isn't new.

Sincere thanks for assistance. I need to get them back on for a fly fishing trip with my son tomorrow.

I'd start at the harness then the switch looking for a connection or ground that might have been knocked loose. I think the key is that both lights are off, so you're probably going to find the problem before the split to left and right sides. Unless it's the fuse. Replace the fuse with a known working fuse to test. Never trust a visual fuse check.

Have you ever been out to an ONSC Raleigh-area meeting? We've got a lot of great people out that way. There's even a 70-Series or two. Please introduce yourself in our clubhouse and keep an eye out there for gatherings - you're welcome at any of them.

Don't know if it helps but high beam and low beam relay clicks with blue light coming on and off. Only anomoly is the red turbonlight coming on when headlights are turned on then green one comes on when they are off.

I have power on both sides of the fuses for low beams. Does it go from the fuse to the lights or does it pass through the relay or switch first?

Did you have to cut or splice or tap any wires to install the stereo? Have you tried turning on the headlights and jiggling everything that you touched yesterday to see if they'd come back on? Is everything 24v? Do you have a separate 12v circuit for any accessories?

Problems sorted. Something is faulty in the IPF aftermarket wiring loom. Removed it and went back to original harness with no issues. Thanks for your help. Now if I can just get it to run cool uphill on the highway...fan clutch mod here I come.

John, Thanks for the invite to ONSC. I live overseas in Jordan and am rarely in the US. I will keep a lookout on the calendar and see if I overlap with some events in the spring. I did get to do some light offloading in the GW National Forest this past week. Second Mountain trail had some nice views. Cheers,

What temps is it running and how are you measuring them?
