Does anyone recognize the last sensor in the back? Behind the tvv...

I was disconnecting things at the end of the day and can't rememebr all the locations. The first 3 before the tvv are good...but there is one more connector on a longer run. There is a sensor at the back of the block butit doesn't fit.

Hard to see in the pictures. There is another connector below the others that it could be also.

Thanks

A better picture of the last sensor in question...Just below the PHH

*Edit* It's the knock sensor. The connector is right next to it in the wire harness. I didn't see it because it was under the bundle.

No pcv grommet? Damn...i ordered the valve, dug out the old one, and discovered...i have no grommet. Not in the kit either

The hanger on the left goes in the back...what about the little one one the right? Can't remember where it goes...

Took my time...everything has been pretty easy. Just slow...lots of "got it...finally" Moments.

Extentions...swivels....rachet wrenches...I couldn't imagine a way to do this job without a grip of the 3 in different sizes. 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drive.

I'll finish up, hopefully, tomorrow. Need to order a grommet for the pcv valve.

Stil haven't found where those hangers go...i think that there are 3...oily so I know they are on the passenger side.

Might drive it for a bit. I listened to everyone and weighed my options. Bottom line is that I need to get back to work. I'll drive it... Kinda test it myself...I replaced all the gaskets and torqued to spec. I drained everything and it'll get fresh oil, filter and coolant. I feel good about the job overall.

Happy Father's day to all you mofo's.

This is the view from my front yard. No landscape yet but we just built the house.

Haha...pictures are out of order but that has been MY view in the front yard for the past few weeks!

I did the valve cover gasket in September. A new gasket came with this kit so I used it. If anyone wants the other one, pm me. Free plus the ride. I'll trash it if no one wants it but if anyone has a leaky valve cover...this would fix it.

No clue on the little hanger, not sure I've ever seen it in several years of messing with the LC...good work on getting the work done though!

Good job getting this in the done column! I'm sure that's a big relief!

Where the heck does this ground wire connect? There is a ground next to the oil dipstick. What about this one?

FWIW you should be able to find a generic PCV grommet that will fit at most parts stores, to get you moving.

It cranks but won't turn over.

Need way more info than that to help...

Don't know where to start. Changed the fuel filter. Checked all the connections. I marked the distributor location before I removed it and put it back in the same spot. I did try moving it as my wife tried to start it.

A couple times, it seemed like it was going to start...but it never did catch.

I can smell fuel now.

I did not replace plugs or wires.

I did replace the clips on the fuel injectors. They all clipped in nice and tight.

What else?

I'm going to see if I can get a timing light.

Did you mark where the distributor was before disassembly? What about the coil, is it connected? I disconnected mine so that I could lubricate the system by turning it over a few times. Reconnected the coil and boom, started right up.

I did mark the distributor...and everything is reconnected...as far as I can tell.

I had a similar thing happen to me when I did my head gasket. Check your battery connections. Can't remember what they're called, but I didn't have both leads connected to the positive terminal. It just cranked and cranked without starting.
