HDJ80 Manual conversion (1 Viewer)

G'day everyone, currently getting the parts to do an manual conversion on my 1hdft auto 80 series.
I've gotten a hzj80 h150 gearbox for free from a mate, known to be working and in good condition, with bellhousing and flywheel.
I've already sourced a clutch pedal, clutch master and slave, NPC 700nm clutch kit, in the process of getting factory clutch lines from a mates parts car.
I've been told that the gearbox crossmember is in a different place, but the holes for the manual are in the chassis already but have no welded nuts on the chassis. What has everyone done about this?
Also, tailshaft lengths, im assuming since the manual box sits further forward, I'll need a longer rear and shorter front?
wiring for the manual box sensors, what has everyone done about this? or are the sensors pretty well the same from auto to manual?
And last of all, what has everyone done with the transmission tunnel? Want to keep everything looking neat and retain the manual shiftboot seal.

I've had a quick flick through this forum about the swap, but haven't really seen the info i've been needing.

I'm working on the same thing myself and just started collecting parts. Have you seen this thread?


If not, read through all 11 pages and I think you'll find most of the answers you're looking for. He covers crossmembers, tunnel and wiring. Last page in the thread someone else has another option for the crossmember using a Slee skid plate instead.

Yeah no worries, Haven't seen that one but will have a read through it now. I'm located in Australia, so think a Slee skid plate is out of the question, Got a couple ideas to make the crossmember work but thought I'd check in here with what others have done. If theres anything i can help you with, let me know, happy to help!
 
Also, anyone managed to install a trans cooler onto the h15x gearbox? Have seen 360 gearboxes offer this as an option with their gearboxes, probably not needed, but since i'm converting from auto to manual, I've got all of the trans cooler lines available, and also an upgrade Performance Diesel Intercoolers auto trans cooler on the front.
 
Yeah no worries, Haven't seen that one but will have a read through it now. I'm located in Australia, so think a Slee skid plate is out of the question, Got a couple ideas to make the crossmember work but thought I'd check in here with what others have done. There is a guy in Australian that owns Off Track Concepts that makes a bolt on cross member for auto to manual conversion. He also makes a tunnel plate for the shifter. His Instagram is Here
I picked up both of these products from him for my swap in near future.
