It is certainly a love it or hate it kind of thing. Personally, I like it A LOT and have gained 3-4” in height on top of the engine to mount a big intercooler.

Cheers

Oh ya GTurbo bling conrods are on the way along with ARPs and +40 brand new FT injectors. Also grabbed a NPC 1300 clutch. Will still need to deal with rebuilding the injection pump, buy an intercooler and few others things but I have 85% of the parts to build out the engine.

Taking a customers 1HDFT to the machine shop on Monday. Mine will be next when his is done.

Saw a video the other day where a guy at HD Automotive is getting 325rwhp out of an FT so who knows, maybe mine with be that impressive.

Cheers

Nicely done man!

I think for people not familiar with an 80, most would never know its modified.
Slight mismatch in styling, but i don't hate it

Did you recut the sides of the 79 hood piece to get it to conform to the curve of the 80 hood without this gap?

Yes trimmed it two or three times until we had it where we felt it looks good.

Cheers

Looks like it works well.
No lines look out of place.

I love seeing stuff like this. I like seeing someone take a chance to chop up perfectly good parts/vehicles to make something unique.

I think big rubber will help a lot to not make it look so well, big!

325 on 35s is good, but that's not out of the possibilities for this build, would be looking at over 750ft lbs too so she'd be spicy👍

I will be running 38” rubber! This is why I don’t want to spend a bunch of cash on the Toyota axles. If they hold up great, if not well I won’t have dropped a ton of money on them.

Cheers

Inner hood structure mods.

We are going to finish up the hood and then we have to walk away from this Cruiser to work on others.

Pulled the dash/firewall insulator the other day, man it was funky! Got a better dash support bar out getting powder coated right now.

Inner hood structure getting welded out. We checked it with a radiator in the Cruiser, all good!
