HDJ-81 Essential Gauges

I’m getting ready to order some gauges for my 91 HDJ81 and was going to get EGT, boost, trans temp, and coolant temp. Is there anything else I’m overlooking that I should add? Is it worth adding AFR?

What are you going to do with AFR data on a diesel?

AFR gauge can be useful while tuning. Once you stop messing with tuning it's not necessary.
EGT gauge gives you a solid indication of how hard your pushing an engine.

i have EGT, trans temp, oil pressure, coolant temp

egt and trans are all i have. I've done a mechanical test of my oil pressure twice.
From my experience the diesels don't run hot enough for me to sweat coolant temp with my driving style.

but i have cooked a trans, so it gets monitored.

I’m planning on going with a zadatech multi gauge, should look something like this:

I have a single din radio so will mount it in the second slot. The units are super customizable and I think it will match the 90s aesthetic pretty well.
