HD81v From Japan...24v or 12 Winch???? (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys!

I have a 1992 Hdj81v from Japan...I believe my cruiser has 24v system which I am told is just the starter...That being said I am not 100% sure if my friend is correct...Anyways I was looking at buying a winch, would I need to buy a 24 volt winch? or a 12 volt???

Any Help would be greatly appreciated!!!

The series-parallel switch only works with the starter, so I would imagine it would be a 12V winch. Everything else in the truck should be 12V.

HDJ81 are 12V trucks, and as Stone as mentioned, it is only the starter that is 24V.

The winches are 12V, unfortunately.
