Looks like right outside palm springs off the 62. I am not far from there!I was visiting a site in California where my site truck was a F150 (not a toyota I know!). But at the same time my colleague was at a site in Morocco in north Africa ... he was offered a Dacia Duster... That made me pretty happy for the F150

Does it have the drum parking brake on the split transfer case? I bought a split transfer case from an '85 BJ45 for my '71 FJ40, but haven't mated it with my H41 from an '85 HJ47 yet. Except for 5th gear, it should have the same gearing as yours.
Yeah if it Palm Spring in California it's a bit ofWow I was way off!
Haha
No it's not on the transfer case, my hand brake in in the drums on the rear axel. Please see the drawing, the clank and lever is for the hand brakeWhy would a BJ42 have a drum brake on the transfer case? I personally think the 45/47 were never offered with an H55F is because for some reason they didn't want to deal with having a hand brake cable running to the back axle. Which seems strange since the 60 came out two years before the H55F and those always had the hand brake on the rear axle. 8/80 Toyota standardized the fuel tank/ torque tube on all 40 series models. Which a few have squeezed a five speed with hand brake.om the transfer case Toyota never did. To keep the hand brake on the transfer case all LWB 40 series only had a four speed.
