Got the bull bar parts back from the paint shop today. I just had to put the new ARB emblem on the bull bar right away ;)

This is epic. I am trying to find a bull bar like that for my BJ40, but the old style ARB bar is impossible to find. I may just fab mine from another model like yours. Yours looks great.

I was lucky to find 2 x J7 ARB bull bars in a barn, a 1. gen and a 2. sec gen. The second generation did one of my friends use on his J79, and it is a perfect match. I like the 1. gen J7 for the J4 since it is more old school, but just for the fun of it I tried to mount the 2. gen, and it sticks out way to far.

I'm not the biggest fan of the original J4 ARB bull bar (though it is still cool), but I'm more a fan of the 1.gen J7 design

I'm kind of stalling for the time being, but I've slowly started to find the doors and hardtop parts. I think next step will be the tub.

The previous owner of the tub startet some repair work, unfortunately some of it needs redo. They also cut out the top of the panel where the spear from the hardtop is guided into. So if any of you have pictures, measures, drawings etc which can help the rebuild, it will be more than welcome :)
I am afraid they did the cut out since the hardtop seems to be sitting a bit too high. Looking at the panel connecting the window frame and hardtop, it doesn't seems in level...

On the upside, the panels between the window frame and hardtop is not rusty, and need no work beside sanding and paint :p

I got a good opportunity and had to prepare the truck for transport, so a bit more disassemble was needed :) During the "preparing for transport" phase I rediscovered a very nice feature it had :) on both doors it had a comfort modul mounted  I'll definitely need to have them mounted again, they will be redone in some kind of wood :)

Befor transport I needed to see if the pictures I had in my head matched reality - it is a bit hard to see close up in a narrow workshop. So I made a pre assembly out side the workshop before loading it on the trailer. I am actually satisfied with the look so far - Nordic-Aussie style

I also added a new RC to the shop, I had to do something since the big one was out of the workshop 🙃

TRX-4 where I added a proline body. Hand made side bars in 6mm stainless (what I had on the shelf) and my god it was a struggle to make 3mm thread in the end of a 6mm bar to be able to mount the side bars on the bull bar :)

But it's a fun little machine, remote controlled high and low gear and lockers on both axels
