I'm too old to figure out how to find the thread, thanks.
Found it, but 45 pages is a bit too much for me to read through to find out if they are good or bad.

Basically, yes the metal ones will probably last longer than the OEM plastic Ts that last 15 years themselves. However, I think the issues have been that the metal Ts are not the exact size of the OEM Ts so the original OEM clamps will not seal properly, continuing to leak.

So…. If you get new worm clamps with the metal Ts then it should work well. But now you’re at more time and the same or more money than just using OEM plastic Ts and continue using the original clamps. Wam bam another 15 years of T service for maybe $25

If the thread is too much to read through then what you need to do to use the stainless t's properly might be too. Stick with OEM.
Thanks, I will go elsewhere, have a great day.
You really should check yourself, rather than reply so rudely. I was planning on interacting here but it appears you just want people to read the same old same old threads. I might have actually helped some folks but with moderators like you I really don't want to stick around.
THANK YOU bullelk for the answer I was looking for.

Mine are brass. Replaced at 225K. The plastic was disintegrating and coolant was leaking through pinholes to form mini stalactites.

I just ordered and replaced my heater Ts with the OEM spec metal ones (black) from cruiser patch, a vendor on here...easy DIY and peace of mind for....years to come.

I went with metals in 2019 but they were 1mm smaller i think, so i had very small leaks, but constant retightening of the worm clamps damaged my old hoses.

If u go metal, make sure they are correct size ... still, some mentioned welding issues on some of them ...

Now, I just ordered new hoses from Japan (Amayama) waiting to arrive .... and i also ordered plastic OEM Ts to keep everything OEM again, $16 CAD for both!

I recommend regularly check for Ts leaking.

Nothing rude about my reply, it was sincere, if searching through a thread is too much for you, your words, then finding the details about the hose clamps and sizes needed to properly use the metal T's probably isn't going to happen. We do want people reading the same old same old threads, vs. starting redundant new ones again and again, cluttering up tech and driving people off because of it. Sorry if simple forum decorum isn't for you.

No need to over think heater tees imo. Oem lasts 150k or therabouts. Get a hose clamp removal tool and needle nose with the curved tip and lean into it.

often in my experience, and maybe too often, the opposing guidance is worth following.
